Another Autumn Recipie

Here's a recipie for chicken and dumplin's (That's dumplin' not dumpling) Ha Ha Enjoy!!!!!!!!!

Chicken and Dumplin's :
1 large can of Chicken broth
5 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 pkgs of frozen dumplings (Walmart Supercenters carry them in the frozen aisle)
Salt & Pepper to taste

*Take a big can of chicken broth and add it to the pan
*Put chicken in pan and cover the chicken the rest of the
way with water (Add salt & pepper to taste)
* Boil chicken until it's just starting to fall apart
* Remove chicken from pan and place in a crock pot
* Turn up the heat on your stovetop to bring the the same
water/broth that you boiled the chicken in to a boil
* Add dumplings in a few at a time and stir them
* Keep adding dumplings and stir until all dumplings
are added
* When all dumplings are boiling, bring heat back to
medium and simmer for about 30-35 minutes
* After dumplings are cooked, remove them from the pan and
place on top of the chicken in the crock pot
* Make white sauce and pour over chicken and dumplings in
the crock pot


WHITE SAUCE:

* In a clean saucepan melt 1/2 stick butter in pan
* Fork in and constantly stir in flour (about 4-5 tablespoons) until you get a paste look
* Slowly add 1/4 can of evaporated milk (stir constantly)
* Slow add another 1/4 can of evaporated milk (stir
constantly)
* Add remaining milk and stir in chicken broth to taste
* When all is mixed, heat until almost boiling, then pour over chicken and dumplings in crock pot

Once again, the drug addicted talk show host, Rush Limbaugh has made a jack ass out of himself. How could he possibly think or say with good concious that Michael J. Fox would not take his meds before appearing on a commerical for a Missouri race?

I was listening to the Ed Shultz show today and he played a commercial that Michael J. Fox did for a republican a while back. It seems to me that Michael isn't really about politics, he's about supporting stem cell research to help get rid of some of these horrible diseases that are affecting millions of us in this nation. He's also seems to be about supporting a candidate regardless of which side of the aisle a candidate is sitting on as long as they support stem cell research. Rush just hurt the republican party on this one and made a complete ass out of himself once again...........

I love a man that can sing!!!!!!!

For those that really know me, then you know that I like to cook. I don't like cooking the 'low fat' or 'reduced calorie' version of things. I feel like good food brings comfort to people. Here's an autumn recipie for 'Candy Apple Pie' that I hope you will enjoy. It's from a book called 'Best of Country Pies'. Enjoy!!!!!!!

Ingredients:
6 cups thinly sliced granny smith apples
2 tablespoons lime juice
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Pastry for double-crust pie (9 inch) I prefer Pillsbury brand!

TOPPING:
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons whipping cream
1/2 cup chopped pecans

In a bowl, toss apples with lime juice. Combine dry ingredients; add to apples and toss. Line a 9-in. pie plate with bottom pastry; trim to 1 in. beyond edge of pie plate. Add Filling; dot with butter. Roll out remaining pastry to fill top of pie; place over filling. Trim, seal and flute edges high. Cut slits in top. Bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until golden and apples are tender. Meanwhile, melt butter in a small saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and cream; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in pecans. Pour over top crust. Bake 3-4 minutes more or untily bubbly. Serve warm.

NOTE: To keep the edges of your crust from burning while the pie is cooking, place aluminum foil around the edges of the pie for the first 20 minutes or so of baking time.

This show is so addictive. It's my guilty pleasure. I have to admit, the first time I ever saw the show was when I went downstairs in my house and asked my husband, 'What are you watching?'. I sat down and immediately knew WHY he was watching. Just when I think this show has pushed the envelope as far as it can, some new crazy twist shows up. It also doesn't hurt that there is a character on the show, Dr. Christian Troy, played by Julian McMahon, who is an absolutly GORGEOUS male specimen. I think what makes him so sexy is that he's so bad that he's good. (The ladies will understand what I mean by that!)





I also have to admit, this show is NOT for the faint of heart or if you're offended easily, don't bother watching.

However, if random sexual acts, murder, or addictions don't offend you, tune in to F/X on Tuesday nights at 10pm Eastern time.

For the girls

This post is for the girls. For those that really know me, they know that I am the 'product queen'. I love to try any new product that promises diminished lines or youthful appearance. I have some products to share for the girls. If you get a chance, try Photo Finish by Smashbox. It's a primer of sorts before you put on foundation. It smooths the skin to let your foundation go on flawlessly. Another product that I won't live without now is Borba's eye rejuvenator. It takes away puffiness and dark circles.

I know some people will take offense to this, but I believe that we shouldn't just sit back and let 'father time' beat us down. I have 2 dear friends that I have told to make sure when I die that the following things happen before my funeral, I want Bare Minerals foundation on my face, my hair straightened with my Chi iron and to be blonde!!!!

What about this guy?

What is wrong with this guy Foley? Has he lost his mind? Just like everyone, I've been hearing all the hype about these IM's and emails, so I decided to go looking on the internet to see if transcripts were available. Well, I found an IM transcript and it's no wonder that the news programs can't talk specifics about what this joker said in his writings. Another problem I have with this guy is that he's now throwing out the 'gay card'. In my mind, he's trying to associate child molestation with being gay. That pisses me off because I know quite a few gay folks and NONE of them are child molestors. This is NOT a gay issue, it's an issue of a guy who was in power who took advantage of it.
