What is wrong with this guy Foley? Has he lost his mind? Just like everyone, I've been hearing all the hype about these IM's and emails, so I decided to go looking on the internet to see if transcripts were available. Well, I found an IM transcript and it's no wonder that the news programs can't talk specifics about what this joker said in his writings. Another problem I have with this guy is that he's now throwing out the 'gay card'. In my mind, he's trying to associate child molestation with being gay. That pisses me off because I know quite a few gay folks and NONE of them are child molestors. This is NOT a gay issue, it's an issue of a guy who was in power who took advantage of it.

I say he gets what he deserves in the court system. There should be no special treatment available for him. At least he has been brought to a point where he can't go any lower...maybe now he will be able to understand what it means to face his problems head on. I am no angel, and believe me, I have my share of addictive behavoir, but when it involves someone else, especially a teenager, you have to face your consequences. I am sorry he was abused by a clergy member. But he now is the abuser. Sounds to me like he was getting close to the edge of having actual contact with this boy.
