It's been a long time....

Hello All.
It's been a while since I've been on this blog, but I have been super busy with work and personal stuff.

Quick updates.
I'm still not smoking. This Thursday will be a record 12 weeks of not smoking. My attitude is different this time around. I really don't want to go back to being a smoker.

My cousin came home but is now back in the hospital. She is doing as well as can be expected at this time. Hospice has come into the home and they are keeping her comfortable. I saw her a couple of weekends and she's such an inspiration to me.

New Stuff
Work is crazy. I wish I could just quit sometimes but I have the 'golden handcuffs' on. On my way to work today I was thinking about career change. The biggest problem that I have with my job is the fact that I don't feel like I am doing anything important. Yes, I am on major projects and I have deadlines for deliverables, but in the grand scheme of life, what am I producing? I feel like I should be doing something that would help others. Not sure what that is, so the practical side will keep me at my job.

Other than wishing for a new job, life is good. My son, who will always be my baby, is applying for his first job. I hope he gets it b/c it would be something that he would enjoy and he can make his own money and realize how good his Dad and I treat him. :)

Gotta go. I'm going to try to blog more frequently than I have been...
